I try to keep this blogthing fun.
Or at least entertaining.
I got to thinking last night.
About going faster.
The weekend after I got the motorcycle I have now, I went on a ride with my Cousins.
Just a short little jaunt.
I still had the salesman's admonition to "Take it Easy until She is broken in" which meant nothing over 80ish for the first 100 miles or so, ringing in my head.
So I was taking it easy.
We got to a gas station, 78 miles from home.
Not too far, about 1/2 way on our little journey.
I checked my phone.
1215 PM.
There were three missed calls from the wife.
So I called.
The reception was horrible.
I heard "Has gone into anaphalactic shock and the ambulance is on its way" I caught number 1s name a few times so I knew it was her.
42 minutes later I walked into the Hospital and was Holding their hands when the Doc gave #1 an epi shot.
Faster.
Last night I got thinking about speed. Not just the speed at which we travel, but the speed in which we live.
SO many crises, so many things.
Faster.
Just a random little thought.
Faster.

I sure hope #1 is okay. I was going to make some snarky remark about how I was all excited that this was a naughty post...but it's fallen from my lips. I often wonder how we have become capable of handling all that is thrown at us on a daily basis...there seems to be no end to what needs our attention. Faster can be good sometimes...other times I wish the world would just slow down a bit for me.
I am with Jewels. Anytime this merry go round wants to stop. I would happily get off. I think I need a sno cone.
I hope your little one is ok. What caused the reaction?
She is ok :)
That was the day we discovered her shellfish allergy.
It seems that the more I think about it, everything is fractal. Little versions of big things, scratch that, reverse it, big things only seem that way. They are really just the little things magnified.
I write the naughty stuff on my OTHER blog ;)
I like naughty things.
I like shellfish. Only sometimes.
Fractals is a good one. I also like asymptote - always approaching, but never completely there.
I am afraid of the Mandelbrot man.
he is asymptote, always but not quite there. I had nightmares for a year when I finished Stephan hawking. The event horizon and gravity wells were a little much for my poor brain. Fractals though, I like them.
Ain't that the truth. (P.S. Your muffin joke made me laugh!)
